This little one’s birth was beautiful – the trust his mama and papa and midwife had in the process was a powerful thing. But this post isn’t about their birth. It is about their newborn

I was delighted to see this buddy at 11 days for a newborn shoot. I just read an amazing article about the ways our brains grow and although it isn’t surprising, looking over these pics it makes total sense – newborns are hard work and boy are we on a steep learning curve!

But these guys are already fantastic parents, and I can’t wait to see this little one grow…..

I adore newborn creases and folds – all that skin just waiting to be plumped out, and with the way this buddy likes to eat, it won’t take long methinks….

Newborn smell and newborn skin is intoxicating – I love watching new parents and the way they can’t keep their hands from stroking, and find themselves unconsciously leaning in close for a whiff….

Thanks for letting me be a part of this amazing time in your lives – it was an honor to be there in every facet.
