I have been blessed to photograph dozens of births – to capture the strength that every single mother inherently has, to capture the beautiful relationship between a mama and her partner, and to capture the emotion involved the first time new parents see and touch their baby for the first time.
And I understand both what it means to be a quiet unobtrusive presence in the room and what it means to photograph and preserve the memories of labor, birth, and the first hour of your newborn’s life.
Every birth is sacred – no matter how your babe comes into the world – homebirth, hospital, birth center, with pain medications and without.
